Hello,

Is there a possibility to repurpose the paddle shifters to do other things? Like controlling the infotainment or to open the garage door.

Recently I had to replace the steering wheel on my EX 2016. I ended up getting one in a very good condition taken from a 2019 Sedan Sport, which has paddle shifters. I know they will not work to change gears with my Civic but I was wondering if I can mod them to do something useful.

Yes they are just buttons after all. Look for wire diagrams for that model with the steering wheel or bust out a multi meter and power probe and start eliminating which pins are for the paddles

Agreed. They are just momentary switches.

Don't expect them to carry any large amount of power, though. IMO... they'd just be able to complete a very low power control signal circuit.

Thank you guys! That's a good start. I will do some research with the wire diagrams.
