I was just curious if anyone knows if it’s possible to replace the HDMI looking muffler with just a dual tip style without buying a whole new exhaust. I really didn’t want to buy a cat back.

You can find any tip you want and have a shop weld it on for you. Very easy.

Yup. If you want to do it easily, no. It's one solid piece all the way up to the frontpipe flange. Cut and weld.

You can, but a muffler shop advised me against doing this. They claimed even the smallest changes can affect the entire system (and no, they don't sell exhaust systems so they weren't trying to sell me one).

I'm going to invest in AWE's touring edition exhaust when I save up the coins.

I think the HDMI looks cool on the Coupe. Nothing else like it and it looks really good with the coupe diffuser.

The small hdmi on the sport trims however... yikes

I'm thinking that in the board room when they were drawing up the exhaust design there was an HDMI cable sitting there and some dude said, "Wait, I've got it!" and bam, our stock exhaust was born. True story. I think.

Interesting... My shop told me changing just the tips does not affect anything but the look.

Changing the tip wont effect anything at all.
Cut it off and weld in something you like.

Now if you want to change the sound.
Your need a new exhaust. Piping or muffler
