2020 civic SI, TSP stage 1 tune at 51,000 miles for reference. Daily driving, no track use.

Got my car inspected at tires plus the other day since they were having a deal that included a free tire rotation. Inspection says my both my rear pads/shoes are worn and grooved and both the rear drums/rotors are grinding/glazed/heat checking, with the left one even being rusty. They also said both my half shafts were bent but didn't include that in the inspection report and no pictures so I was gonna get a second opinion on that later.

For both the pads and drums should I just shop one some honda OEM site or do you guys recommend something aftermarket? Searching up similar threads were more leaning for folks who went on the track here and there but I wanted an opinion for DD folks.

Daily driven si changed all pads and front rotors with oem equivalent from local autoparts store at around 50k, kept rear rotors. Now at around 65k no issues with the cheaper oem equivalent. I figured no point in paying big bucks for drilled slotted rotors or fancy pads if I'm just using the car for daily driver

For normal street driving I wouldn't go Honda brand. Too many $$ Any name-brand aftermarket OEM equivalent will do.

Also, might be worth getting a second opinion, especially on the alleged bent 1/2 shafts diagnosis. Bending one (let alone two) is, short of a major impact, incredibly hard to do, and if the car drives normally I'd be suspicious they aren't just trying to up sale you.

Sounds good. I'll check to see what equivalent's to OEM are worth looking into if not OEM itself. Rock auto's always been kind to me so I'll start there.

Might as well look at the shafts myself/ask another shop just incase. This car's never impacted anything and I think they just took one look at my ktuner and thought they could swindle me. Any brand's you'd recommend for the brakes otherwise?

For a street driven daily car, any name brand pad/disk is fine. They don't have to be OEM. Just avoid the really cheap, unknown brands.
