CW sure is a nice color but my god, I have at least 20 pin sized black tar specs that are a pain to remove.
Wash mitt, soap & MF cloth only go so far. Clay bar won’t work either.
I can get them to smear when lightly picking with finger nail but not much more...
Any ideas that won’t hurt clear coat?
3m adhesive remover? Wd40?wanted to ask before screwing the pooch.. lol
Thanks

adhesive remover will dissolve tar, you will see it kind of liquify and run.. spray it, leave it sit a minute, spray it again, then wipe with a clean microfiber towel when you see all the spots running and no big chunks left. make sure you wash the car first as to remove any debris to limit the possibility of scratching. I assume this removes any wax you might have on the car, however i usually do this step before I wax a car anyways.
Adhesive remover will not remove any rail dust tho, clay bar for that.

RainX will work also, WD-40 will too but I would only use that if I had no other options. RainX works great on tree sap too. Must have a lot of alcohol in it or something.

WD40 works, but I use Pro Honda Spray Cleaner and Polish. It's got petroleum distillates as a base, and dissolves tar nicely in my experience. Plus it leaves a layer of wax.

Good to know. I completely forgot I typically use Tar-X and Iron-X from CarPro on my car, for their specific applications. I tested out the RainX stuff on my wife's Odyssey and it did work pretty well, I have to say.
