Removing/reinstalling front "Type R" emblem

I got a 2020 front grill for my 2017, and I want to move the "Type R" badge from the old to the new.

Whats the best way to do this? I already have the 2020 grill on the car.

Hi ! I read about the fact that the designers found that with the implementation of the face lifted front grill, they found that the downforce on the front area of the car decreased, so it was necessary to redesign the inferior part under the front bumper.

Follow up to this thread, I had good luck with dremeling the back pins off, heating the emblem with a hair dryer til very hot, then using a small hammer/punch and popping it off.

How did you install the emblem into the 2020 grille?

Unfortunately you can not. The 2020 Type R emblem is smaller than the 2017. You either need to order a 2020 emblem or spend the time to slowly round off the access of yours to fit.

I just super glued it in. It fits fine. Its identical sized.

We're talking about the emblem that read "Type R", not the H badge.

I just super glued it in. It fits fine. Its identical sized.
