About to install front double canards on 2019 Type R, and looking for suggestions/recommendation when removing front bumper.
Anyone done this before and have tips to follow?

Special tools needed?
Clip gotchas?
Make sure to do this...etc.?

I've been watching this 2017 Civic Type R Bumper Removal and Installation By Mishimoto video [+] to give me an idea what I'm up against.

I followed that video when doing mine. If you follow those directions you should be fine.

For me, the hardest part were the clips under the headlights.

Harbor freight have these interior trim tools that are great for removing the front bumper. My only tip would be don’t force it you’ll end up breaking a clip like me lol and be careful with your paint

just try to be gentle when poping up the clips under headlight, but it does require some force to pop the bumper out. If you got one more people to help you that would be easier.

did it 6 times now and still no problem for the bumper to put it back. So, as long as you take some time no rush, no worry about the bumper

You don't need to remove the whole bumper for install dual canards, I've done mine just removing the vents.

@alejandroads123 , ah...now I see what they meant via install instructions...but didn't say directly "use the vents" was even an option

@alejandroads123 , any tips or things to watch out for?

Tug Shaft Install on taking vents off >>
The bolts located on the front of canards are easy to tight but the other require more patience . Just take your time during the whole install process.
