Use common sense with heat. touch the car periodically while heating, if you start burning your hand on the car Its too hot. I’ve removed dozens of stickers back in the day and most of the glue comes off with the sticker. Heat gun on low setting works well,

stubborn stickers that are Decades old may require use of a plastic scraper that wont scratch in addition to the heat.
