Whatever makes you sleep better at night lol.
I love my R. I have no regrets. The MY2020 is great too. The alternative is Honda having never made the R, and I’d be bored cause there isn’t anything that catches my eye in this price range.

Yeah I figure. with that msrp and then daler mark up and fees and tag tag title we are gonna be looking at 50k civics. I love the civic but for that price I'M only a few k away from a corvette.

So the 17 was released June 2017 and then the 2018 released I think february 2018 then the 2019 was released november of 2018 and the 2020 wont be released until winter 2020 which starts december 21st 2020.
spmodel 17s are only around 5 months. 18s 9 months and 19s will be on sale for 2 years and a month before the 2020s? something don't make sense there. I think they meant winter 2019 because winter 19 actually happens in 2020 it just starts the last week of 19 which is why its called winter 2019. I don't see a model run of 2 years before the next year model. I bet we see it before march most likely february like the 18s

I think later this winter is referring to the current season. Meaning in the next couple of months

Everyone seems so butthurt over all the new cool upgrades the new 2020 is getting lul. No need to bash the new features to justify your pre 2020 model purchase lol
I can't speak for others, but I have a 2019 and none of this bothers me in the slightest. Had I not purchased mine yet and seen this news, I'd be shopping for a 2019 while they are still available. The sensing features are not something I'm interested in having and I was already at the top of my budget on my 2019. I'm actually stoked that I'll have some OEM upgrades available that I can retrofit down the road at some point if I want.

I can't believe someone would take sonic grey pearl over this new blue color. The new blue looks great imo.

Took the words right out of my mouth haha
Intrigued by the blue but will need to visit a dealer to see it in person. I had my own reservations about sonic gray until I went and saw mine in the dealership and it blew me away. It looks way better in person. Maybe this new blue will be the same way but I am skeptical. I thought the current blue paint code looked goofy with the red accenting.

A C8 will be 50% > than a CTR

Plenty of corvette dealers that haven't sold their allotments. Can get ones for the 59, have a dealer here that does not do adm or add ons.

40k USD is quite a significant cost increase for very little changes IMO

i don't get why people think it's hating or trying to justify purchase when someone says they're glad to have a 17-19.
There really isn't anything that you can't get on the older one with the MY20 unless you want Honda sensing which is a hit or miss depending on the person.

corvette and a CTR are two different cars. Corvette will serve no purpose other than just to drive.

There is debate that the sensing added motors that changed the steering feel, and because of that they had to adjust the front suspension to bring back “steering feel”,. But then they also had to balance out the rear as well. And then it was too stiff, so they had to further soften it.

Between this, and the sound control, the FK8 first release is the purest.

The second dulls the experience.

Thus a first release along with a few choice minor upgrades from the second will in my opinion be sought after in the future over a second release FK8 (MY2020).
I guess high end bmws with sensing make it a dull car too
