Hi everyone. Been lurking for a while and finally found cause to join. I had been waiting all summer, hoping for the LED headlights to be added to the 2020. The final drive ratio update was a nice bonus as well. Red wasn't my first choice initially, but I like it better on the black wheels. It also reminds me of my first car--a red 1991 Integra. Nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

It reminds me of my Milano Red GSR with black rims days. The red is arguably the nicest color combo to get on the new Si. Looks super sharp

Looking at picking up a 2020 Civic Si. Best price I have found is 23,5 which puts it around 25,3 out the door. Seems like a decent price based on previous posts. Some of the other dealers I have talked to are trying to push the "Honda Protection Package" which is basically a bunch of garbage that I don't want/need (tint, wheel locks, mud guards) and jacks the price up by almost a couple grand. Yeah no thanks, just give me a base Si and I'm good.

Having said that, am I the only one who thinks the fake vent area now looks worse than before?

I get that Honda was trying to minimize the size of the vent area by adding the body color strip. But it looks like a mish mosh of shapes now.

It's not that bad with body color matched strip if it has the honeycomb like the 16-19.

The 2020 has honeycomb rear and flat panel front, this is what I don't get it.

At least the prior ugly fake honeycomb vents matched the functional honeycomb in the center. Now the 2020 ugly fake non-honeycomb vents match nothing, but Honda has added a splash of color to all of them to draw more attention to their fakeness and non-matchiness

Exactly, they would have been better off leaving the honeycomb design and adding the color-matched insert to that instead of adding the flat matte plastic.

Was the need to get rid of the honeycomb inserts due to the sensing suite? I assume having the raised honeycomb in front of the sensors caused weird reflections, so a flat plastic piece is necessary. So instead of having a square of flat plastic as part of the insert, they made the whole piece flat with just the colored garnish. Personally, I also think the new inserts look worse. Really seems just tacked on, especially in the brighter colors.

I’m sure someone will come up with a honeycomb overlay one way or another like the regular 19 refresh.

I’ll have those strips painted gloss black instead if I were to get the 2020.

DFW. Not many dealers wanting to play ball though so far. Most are telling me the car is "so rare" and won't last long on their lots. Typical salesman bs. Ideally I want to grab one for 24 and some change out the door but would be willing to go as high as 25 flat if I have to to...but not a penny more. The 25,3 offer is still the best one I have gotten. They have two on the lot, one blue and one black. Probably will go check them out this weekend.
