Redesigned 2017 Honda CRV Revealed!

After a long wait, the newly redesigned Honda CRV has been revealed.

And it gets a 190 HP Turbo Engine!


Personally, I really like it, what are your thoughts?

Wondering why no one has bitched about the CR-V getting a volume knob yet.

I like the interior, and that's a lot of stuff brought straight from the Civic lol.

It's ever so slightly reminiscent of the Mitsubishi Outlander, but that just may be the stock photos.

Options look good! I wonder what pricing will be.

Outlander was definitely the first thing that popped in my mind. I'll be interested in seeing what the 1.5T does for the CR-V.

On another note:

Does anyone think this will likely be the same engine and output (or more) for the Civic Si variant?

In addition: I think the volume button is a waste of space on that screen. They could've done a much better job, IMHO of design or placement of it.

And those wheels... fugly.

My mom has the older style CR-V and I always refer to it as the "pregnant whale." I still can't get over the back part of the car... It looks like it's got a lotta junk in the trunk. The new one looks slightly better, but still kinda funky haha. I like how there are air vents that go to the rear seats.

Looks like they just used the 2016 Honda Civic template for the interior and the HR-V template for the exterior.

I'll stay with my 2009 CR-V...

Better than the present gen, but only 190hp for that size vehicle sucks. They should have put a turbo on the 2.4 and have an output near 240hp.

because that totally worked out 10 years ago with the RDX where it was rated at 17 city, 22 hwy... Even the Escape with the 2.0 Ecoboost now is rated at 20/27.

On the premise that Honda would offer a high power CR-V on the top trim, it wouldn't sell lots on the premise that the target market is probably looking at high 20s in the city, the R&D wouldn't be worth it anyway.
