I put the red badges on my hatchback, and after having them on for a few weeks I'm not super into how much the red pops out. Instead of taking them off and putting the old plastic ones back on, has anyone put vinly overlays on the badges? This way it would be a silver/chrome "H" over a black background? It would look a little more subtle and then I at least won't be "pretending I'm a Type-R". Anyone know a good place to get something like that? Thanks!

Dental floss and get a set of plastic non-marring trim removal tools. You may break it, but work your way around the edges carefully. I did it without breaking mine.

It's also held in by 2 pins, these will probably snap off.

It’s kind of like a rivet but it will snap off. It’s all plastic.

Received my oem FK8 rear emblem a few days ago.I don't know who ever posted the size of the rear FK8 emblem but those where way off.
The correct size is 105mm x 85mm ( this is measured on the widest part). And it fits my 2018 base sedan perfectly.

I have a 2017 si sedan... I’m looking all over these websites and can’t find red ORIGINAL emblems that fit??? Fakes are everywhere but it seems all these websites have coupes and hatches. ?

Just finished reading this entire forum from start to finish, Page 1 to 29. Took me a few hours.

And you guys are total clowns for asking the same questions that have already been answered numerous times earlier in this forum. Just read for Civic sakes!

Refresher to sum up what everyone DID NOT read.

- The only places that are legit for selling GENUINE/REAL JDM Honda Emblems ONLY are https://www.icbmotorsport.com/ and your local Honda Dealership.
NOT Amazon, NOT eBay. Most likely by 80% chance both sources have FAKES.
- KPlayground sells FAKES.
- Video on >>>Real vs. Fake <<< Emblems.
- As per @skstyle , measurements are as follows:

Sedan
Front: 117mm x 96mm
Rear: 108mm x 88mm

Coupe
Front/Rear: 117mm x 96mm

Hatchback
Front: 117mm x 96mm
Rear: 103mm x 85mm

- Safest way according to Youtube for removal are by using a credit card or wide flathead screwdriver covered by fabric or felt or a rag of some kind. Then clean the area with goo gone or some kind of adhesive remover.
- The Blue/Black and steering wheel emblems are NOT OEM and are NOT manufactured by Honda. They are China made FAKES. The steering wheel emblem is one size fits all.

What else am I missing to cover? ?

Also, question from myself if anyone can answer. Before I get my JDM emblems, I'd like to have my chrome at the front blacked out and I'm seeing from the other members that they have this, the paint blends in flawlessly with the hood. Do I go to a shop to get this blacked out or do I order/swap out this part for one that's already blacked? Sorry for the noob question.
Thanks. - Juice

After a vent about people not reading/researching, you asked a fairly simple question ;) also helping resurrect an old thread lol.

In any case- nice summary.

The OEM black grills will direct swap, ex: https://www.collegehillshonda.com/product/71121-TGG-KIT.html

I would love to swap with my nearest Honda dealer, however a few things.

1. Don't have a garage to work in or someone to help me out.
2. I live in rural Canada, hence, I'd work outside in the driveway in the major cold.
3. I'd rather not go through all that labor with paying more than $100 +.

So what I've done is Plasti-dip'd the chrome with 5 coats, 30 min. intervals. Turned out good, then plan to get my OEM body paint and finish it off. Alot cheaper option for under a 100 bucks.
