If they look crystal clear perfect mirror finish throughout looking at it on different angles then they are legit. If they are wavy not really mirror finish rather than perfectly crystal-clear and they’re fake.

At least that’s how a YouTube video pointed it out.

Finally bit the bullet and got red emblems, mainly to see how it would look on my cosmic blue commuter. I had swapped the grill a year ago and the silver H on the front finally fell off, prompting me to replace. Ordered from Honda Parts Florida. Great price and quick shipping on OEM emblems.

These are for a 4 door EX-T sedan and will fit any sedan. Thoughts on the red on blue?

One of the first things I did to the car. I picked up my badges from the dealership at the parts counter.

What year is yours? I have the 2018 touring sedan and I have the same garnish on the trunk lid that is exclusive to the Canadian touring models. Did you put that on or did it come oem? I wish mine didn’t have it actually. I wanted to take it off but it leaves a lot of holes behind.

Getting back to the thread. I just got my Blue fakes from aliexpress. They don’t look too bad though. Not sure how they would look side by side with the legit red ones. I’ll post pictures once they’re installed. There’s a protective film on that I don’t want to take off until installed.

Does anyone know if the rear ones are installed the same as the front? My front ones had these slotted metal washer type things that slid over the pins to hold it tight. My pins just snapped off when I took the front one off.

2016, trunk garnish came OEM. Just install with pins and the adhesive, no need for metal stays. Trunk is the same. Use like 50lb fishing line to cut the adhesive then pry it off.

I just did the front. Looks different. Not sure yet. Maybe it will grow on me. I had to flatten down the raised part around the pin holes to get it to lay flat. Pins lined up though. Always do a dry fit.

The rear one is not on with any adhesive. Just held super tight in the middle with the pins. Even though it will be covered up I don’t want to scratch the hell out of the paint getting it off.

How did you do the rear? Just pry it off? I don’t want my little tabs to break off and start rattling around in that trim piece attached to the trunk so I’m looking to pull in that whole trim piece off possibly.

I managed to do both the front and back without breaking any pins. Use dental floss and a plastic pry tool, you can get a set of them for like 6 bucks on Amazon. If you can wedge two pry tools in, one where each pin is located, you can pry it off easily in one piece without breakage.

That’s what I did with my front one. I have all the small plastic pry tools from doing electronics repairs. They both just let go.
