wheel size is 18x9.5 +38

looking at 255/35/18 or would 40 be more advisable?

Thanks

i personally would go with a 265/35 on a 9.5. I think on stock suspension that size it should be no problem.

if you must stay with a 255, a 255/40 would be better than a 255/35.

I have the same wheels you referenced and I’m lowered on swift springs. I run 265/35 and have no rubbing issues so considering you’re on stock suspension, you will be fine.
