Hello eveyone, just today i picked up a summer project to get my feet wet and kill some time. 2017 lx 4dr, manual. suffered mostly cosmetic damage, runs and drives fine except there's no parking brake, the brake system and brake lights are both on and the parking brake won't engage, it just makes a horrible noise when i pull on the little tab , also the brake pedal feels a little funny, any ideas on what to check for.. i haven't had a chance to get a look under the car, i'll update when i do

I already removed the srs module and front seatbelts and will be sending them out to be rebuilt/redone. will be needing a hood, front bumper cover/grill, both headlights, maybe fenders, the following airbags: steering wheel, driver side curtains, passenger dash, if anyone has any of these lmk

(link to video of the noise: )

Have you been able to drive the car to allow the systems to initialize?

You’ll have to drive it more than that to initialize the systems and get everything acting normally.
