I got rid of my rear clunks by carefully centering the sway bar. With the Type R endlinks, there's like less than 1/8" clearance to the suspension arms, so the bar has to be placed exactly (with a deadblow hammer, LoL) to get no knocking. A bit of a PITA to be sure.

If that was the case, then Honda should have no problem updating our 17,18 and 19s with this update free of charge.
I don't disagree with you.

I am sure. I'm also hoping that Honda will cover the replacements for people now that there is a revised part. I don't know if a TSB will be issued though.
Then it’s a great news
ĂŽll go to the dealer as soon as temperature gets lower

Order some rear upper mounts from the 2020 Si. Clunking will disappear.
I have used oem struts and aftermarket coilovers. Sound was still there so it aint that.

I've replied to this thread last winter with same problem. Lots of different theories here but no clear cut solution. Some have replaced struts and have same problem and same goes with sway bar bushings. As soon as it gets cold enough I'm gonna just remove the rear sway bar completely and eliminate that theory once and for all. Has anyone done this? On the hoist it looks like it would literally take minutes to remove.
I have an aftermarket rear sway bar and end links along with a friend of mine who does as well. Noise still there. Maybe ill remove it and see. Now im wondering if its the trailing arm bushings. Over small bumps the rear is quiet, its the crazy roads where I hear a clunking sound followed by a sound like somethings loose.

The cold weather sound or the all-the-time sound?
ALL THE TIME. The only thing I experienced with the cold weather was what sounded like the springs in the rear. With my coilovers I didn’t have that sound in the winter. But this clunk followed by what sounds like something loose has been since I owed the car for a year and half

The new part only fixes the cold weather noise.

This makes sense since I had my original upper mount replaced but the part number was 52670-TBF-A02 and the clunk came right back. I am not sure Honda wants to replace all these mounts right away since we are now talking about 3 years worth of Sis that are out there with the same problem. That's a LOT of labor!

I have been in contact with my dealer's service manager, who is a cool guy, regarding a solution for the clunking, and I will see if he knows anything about this new part number and report back here!

I'll check on Monday to see if it has been applied, but I expect this new number will supercede the old for 2017+ Si models as the standard replacement part for all Si.

Here is picture of the new part #52670-TBF-A11. Installing these hopefully this weekend, and will compare to the existing updated ones. I had my shocks replaced under warranty for the cold weather clunking issue. Of course the replacement shock still clunked below zero weather, but never had clunking issue above zero. Here in mn below zero is usually 2 months of the year. So the clunk can be annoyingly frustrating.

My noise isn’t coming from the stock struts. I even had aftermarket coilovers and it still made noise. I check the rear end links those are good as well.
