rear seat tear repair

I have an approximately 1" cut in my rear seat, that of course the kids have no idea how it got there. Is there a good way to repair this? It's pretty pricey to buy a new seat or even honda seat cover. Thanks for any advice!

Try your luck in the junk yard to see if you can find any. Luckily there’s only 2 or 3 types of seats. Idk if the hatch and 4 door share the same rear seat

I've looked at some online junkyards, but those prices are still about $125. I haven't explored the local junkyard, could be worth a peak.
