I have seen other platforms with more advanced rear electronic parking brake system than us offer reasonably price bbk for the rear. Kinda ridiculous we have absolutely nothing mainstream to change the rear, doesn’t got be a total caliper change but none of these big performance companies can make a bolt on bracket change to run bigger rotors atleast? Nobody wants big rotors from your bbks in the front and to be stuck with those tiny rotors in the back yeah the rear doesn’t do much braking but it just doesn't look good once you go big upfront only. I know the company rage is the only one offering a rear kit but the shipping cost overseas is expensive, if their capable of upgrading calipers to using big rotors why cant the other bigger performance companies we have do the same?

I'm doing this now. Working on the rear brackets. Rotors are done already.

anybody want to grab a set of crv calipers rotors and pads on ebay to test fitment? I would do it but im swapping to type r rear knuckles/hubs/calipers/rotors/pads for awd integration.

Update to brake upgrade.

This converts all non Type R to 305mm x 11mm rear rotor. Retains factory parking brake.

Rear caliper bracket prototype fitup went perfectly. Going to get them made in cast iron next and do another fitup.

Plan is to also make a rear dust shield and sell a whole conversion kit

The type r shield may work unless you’ve already tried.

Would love to hear more about this and where you are with the process. I’m looking to upgrade brakes next and would be awesome to tackle both the front and rear.

I just ordered a tlx type s rear caliper bracket, will test fit with crv rear rotor when it comes in.

What size is a CRV rear rotor?

is your goal a larger rotor, or something else (like being able to fit a more powerful rear caliper)?

Update…
I got my hands on the 21+ tlx type s rear caliper bracket (anchor) and performed a test fit. Compared to the si rear brackets, with the s brackets installed, the pads are pushed out about 4.5mm (edge of pad sat 2mm deep, now 2.5mm overhang). So you could use a 290mm rotor compared to the 282mm si rotor but no one makes that and that would be a pointless upgrade, however, they are red. You would also need 5mm wheel spacer between rotor and hub to center the rotor to the gap of the brackets. I also test fit the type r bracket and is nearly identical to the si one (pads sit 2mm deep and rotor is already centered). All of this testing was done with si rear rotors.

tsx type s rear calipers are a no go. Their rear rotor size is 330mm so the knuckle pushes the caliper out further from the center than ours.

I’m trying to use the oem crv 310mm rotor. I did some math… the paragon rear brake upgrade for type r have 340/350mm rotors. Using their brackets with the crv rotors I’d have about 1.5mm of pad overhang. I’m sure I can shave off the very small 1.5mm from the pads and/or bracket to lower the pad inside the brackets.
