I drive a 2018 Civic sport and have been trying to think of some unique ways to make the interior pop. I was thinking to theme it black and red because can it really get any better than that?

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has toyed with re-painting the silver trim bits on the steering wheel, center console, etc. I was thinking of painting them all red but would this be worth my time? Or are there easier ways to accomplish what I'm looking for?

It’s a red piping that ticks between the interior trim pieces. I’ve seen a lot of members do this and it looks great. I wouldn’t recommend trying to paint them because they’re a PITA to try and remove without breaking the cheap plastic. You could try vinyl wrapping them but that piping stuff is the cheapest and easiest way to go.

Took the trim pieces out and used Superwrap to paint it. Wasn't too difficult.

That looks super good! How hard was it to remove and then later replace the trim pieces?

The only hard one to remove and put back was the passenger dash trim. Driver side dash just a matter of popping it out and back in. The door trims was more time consuming than hard. Remove door panel then unscrew trim from behind.
