So im having this issue that i can't find any clue on whats wrong with this. I just recently installed my rv6 drop in turbo and at this time my car smoked atleast two times now when decelerating but nothing on idle and when accelerating and it seems to happen randomly. Thank you for anyone that can give answers!

Check that all of your lines are hooked up correctly on the turbo, also you should remove downpipe and look in turbo to see if you see signs of oil. Reach out to RV6 if you do see oil in turbo. Did it smoke before the turbo install?

Bad rings?
That would be a bummer, if I read his post correctly it did not smoke before he installed the turbo so would almost make sense it would be related to the turbo, but anything can happen. That would be worse case lol.

Sounds like a weeping/leaking seal in the turbo. It happens. RV6 should be able to take care of you.

Doubt it's piston rings unless the motor has seen a lot of detonation, sounds turbo related. Check your oil return on the turbo, make sure no kinks or blockages. Curious what RV6 says.

I would go ahead and email Rich @RV6 now to get his thoughts and just so he has a heads up. He may have a simple way to check.

Hope it is something simple.
