Thats one of the best catch can systems i have seen. My question is do you really need 2 or is that just a preference. Which is recommended for just a daily driver and some track use?

Think read through what they wrote and be the judge on what you think is best. Having both couldn't hurt though right?

I did read the article but ive never used a catch can on any car i ever raced. So i was wondering if they benefit the Type r or not.

Was your previous race cars a DI motor? :D Chances are C.C is a benefit for any DI motor to catch any oil residual before entering back to the chamber.

I had Evo 9 that was making 575whp and i was running a 6262 ball bearing turbo at 30psi on pump. Made numerous passes on it and i never ran a catch so i was wondering if the Type R needs one or not?

Yes, is beneficial for the longivity of the DI design.

Also per JLOracing's expertise, PCV side is a must.

You make the judgement if you want 1 or not. :)

The CTR should have one, and IMO any direct injected car should have one, regardless of use or performance. You dont have to have one, but I had a built 650whp+ e85 EVO8 Time Attack street car, it needed a catch can as well....the 4G63 is known for oil vapor from PCV. You made have not needed one per say, but you should have had one.
Thanks man i appreciate your response. Do you still have the Evo?
