FYI, The 76 gas station on the corner of W Pico Blvd and S Barrington Ave has race gas. 101 octane, I would mix it with 91 on a street car.

My 76 has 100 for $8.60 corner of Foxworthy & Almaden.

I'll throw a gallon in once a month or so

Wow didn't know this one was that cheap, I grew up around the area and my family still runs a convenience store in the adjacent plaza.

Are there any drawbacks besides $$ for running 101 octane?

Not really, I've put it in all my cars(that benefit from it).

My firebird required it (12.5:1cr, I complained when it was $4/gal), FD3S loved it & FC1 likes it(no tune).

I've lived in the area for almost all my life and purchased many items for your family store.

Haha small world! I stop by from time to time to help out (when we aren't in lockdown) so feel free to stop by and say hello if you see a type R parked out front :D

I'll try the race gas next time I'm there. Would the goal be to be as close to 93 octane (since our cars are tuned for it from factory)? Or does the ECU compensate air/fuel accordingly for whatever mixture you put in?
