Took a bit longer than expected but I got all 4 rotors and the ceramic pads installed tonight. I also bled 6 oz of fluid out of each caliper, and rotated my tires while I had them off. All is good and no issues, perfect fit. I'll take some pics tomorrow :headbang:

Are the rotors and pads same size as OEM?

I've seen this car in the lot at work... How much of a pain is the electronic parking brake to deal with when replacing the rotors/pads?

looking good man.. how is the braking performance? same? better? any noises?
Definitely a noticeable improvement over stock, a lot more bite. No noises at all, great kit!

Nice, what do you do at VW?

Wasn't a pain at all, the pistons twist in like a normal rear caliper. The only thing is the universal piston tool (the cube), wasn't large enough. I had to use some long needle nose and twist it in that way.

I'm in IT.

Glad to know it's straight forward and not one of those crazy drum style things. I don't know why, but I was half expecting it to be like a mid 90s truck.

Really digging those wheels. I'll have to go for something different now.

Do you know how much these rotors weigh versus the stock rotors?

I remember them being substantially lighter. I would say 3-5 lbs a corner.

Thank you for your response. One other very important question. Do the R1 rotors have a larger diameter than the stock rotors? I plan on picking up a 2017 LX Sport Hatch (Turbo/CVT). This comes in 16" stock wheels. I know most people upgrade to larger rotors. I will 'downgrade' my wheels to a 15" size. So I can not have the rotor diameter be larger than the stock sized rotors. They look fairly small in the pics but I do not want to make any assumptions. Thanks!
