Hey guys. I’ve decided to document my build here for whoever wants to follow or for whoever is interested. A little back story for you guys is I previously had a 2015 Civic Si that was Super Chargered and produced 400whp. When the Type R was released I thought it was ugly and not as elegant as the 9th he Si. Took me about a year to appreciate the R. My boy who runs a Volvo dealership took a barely used Type R in and he got it for what he described as a “low price”. I stopped by and ended up purchasing it for 30k. This was around the time that people were still paying over MSRP for the Type R so I felt great about the purchase. Since then the car has been amazing and I haven’t had a single issue, not even one gear grind. Well enough talk, time for pictures!

Here are a few of the first mods I did to my R. First off I got the Depo smoked side markers. The fit and quality was perfect and in my opinion look way better than the clear ones on a CW car. They I got custom plush floor mats for the car and added a fabric coating. I got a Type R license plate frame because why not?

Terrific photos, man. Your interior is so clean compared to mine.

+1 on the Depo smoked side markers, they look fantastic on your car. I wish Depo put out some smoked taillights.

Looking forward to seeing your feedback on the spoon mirrors!

Hey bro, I appreciate the positive feedback. As for the Spoon mirrors they are great. They basically stick onto the original ones so they aren’t a complete replacement. They provide a bit more visual coverage so it helps with your blind spot. I did get the rear view Spoon mirror as well and that one is a wide angle glass. Takes a bit to get used to seeing so much more. But I would recommend them. Handle with care though as it’s basically just a piece of glass.

Loving too excited to report. I do have some parts on the way but I’d rather reveal them once I have pics to show you guys. In the mean time I washed and protected the car today.

Finally decided it was warm enough to take the car out and take some pictures.

Car is looking great Frank. Btw where did you source the CF rock guards from and also what is your feedback on the steering wheel? Is that from Carbonzone Poland?

Old Skool Fab. Call and ask for Randy. They are great and very high quality. His customer service is great too. As for the steering wheel I have to be honest and say that I love it. It feels premium, build quality is amazing, and it’s very easy to clean.

New front mud flaps came in and got the ceramic treatment. I did something stupid to damage the original ones but Randy quickly made me a new set and sent them out.
