If you don't have a warranty, are you able to cover a repair out of pocket?
I keep an emergency fund for such instances. I never buy extended warranties. So far in my life I've saved much more than I spent by not purchasing the warranty.

If you’re not aware, when you use the front defrost it uses your a/c to remove moisture from the air to unfog your window.
