Looking to maybe tune my 2017 FK8 CTR in the near future. I am planning on picking up a PRL intercooler to go along with the tune but I'm wondering if there are any issue's I might run into with a tune. Currently, I am hoping to pick up the Hondata 93 octane tune, which, for all intents and purposes, seems to be fairly moderate. Will this tune cause the engine to blow up without any kind of engine reinforcements?

You should be fine as long as you don't abuse the motor and continue proper servicing.

It's all about moderation. If you're looking for a nice little uptick in performance, a base tune is a great way to do it in a relatively safe way. I say relatively because nothing is 100% risk free. My personal opinion is that the improvements in driveability are worth the risk.

Generally speaking, those blown engines happen when power is pushed well beyond the base tunes or a based tuned car is abused.
