Hi All,
First time posting in the group so sorry if I posted this in the wrong area. I just bought a 2019 CTR and I was trying to swap out a custom shift knob that utilized the oem retaining nut(?) for the Raceseng Ashiko. Already got the adapter since I had the knob from my previous car.
Is it necessary to get the raceseng shift boot collar or should I be able to just use the oem retaining nut?
When I tried to put the threaded adapter on and adjust the screw, the Ashiko seemed to orient the same way no matter what and it seemed like maybe the retaining nut was too high up so my Ashiko wasn't fully on the threaded adapter. I think if I didn't have the gated pattern then I would care less, but
I don't want to try moving the retaining nut too far down and causing some thread damage.
I also seemed to have some trouble removing the retaining nut but not sure if it's just from the dried loctite that was put on the knob
Anyone been through this before?
