Question concerning 1.2/V2 in-car usage

Want to confirm before I look to do a 1 for 1 swap for a 1.2 for my V2:

The 1.2 can be left in the OBD2 port w/o any wires and through HondaHack and TunerView display realtime date in the headunit via a Bluetooth connection? Also... it doesn't protrude such that it's still in the way for getting in/out of the car or on your leg during driving? Thanks... just want to be sure before I punt the V2.

The V1.2 can be left in the vehicle, used with TunerView, and is a small enough unit not to stick out.
