Is there anything you do to your CTR'S when you park them for the winter?

I am putting mine away for winter here either this week or next. My process will be:

-Oil change
-Full tank of gas with fuel stabilizer
-Wash and interior clean
-Inflate tires to near max and put car on wheel dollies
-Stuff shop towels wrapped in dryer sheets in the exhaust and intake
-A few dryer sheets in the interior
-Hook battery up to tender
-Make sure parking brake is released to prevent seizing
-Cover car and wait for spring

Then come spring I'll put the tires back to recommended pressures and take it for a 20-30 minute drive to get everything up to temp then do another oil change. Some will say the spring oil change is not necessary as the oil wont degrade but there is a chance that condensation could build up in the engine which is why I like the first easy drive to get everything up to temp and flowing and gather up any condensation. Then change the oil to get any of that out of there. Then hoon away!

hrmm. i consider winter the best time to have fun driving.
traction is lower so you don't have the risk of damage from hi speed screwups as you do it much slower.

granted i have an si so maybe i think differently because its not a track car.

If you do store a car, be sure to keep a list of all the things you do and leave it on the seat (or somewhere obvious) so when you go to unhibernate it, you can undo all the items, so you don't forget one!

First a thorough clean and refresh the coating. Then go through and clean interior and seals.

I’ll be storing the car over winter but plan on driving it on the few days that are nice. So no file stabilizer for me. I’ve stored all my “summer cars” and only used stabilizer if storing for >6 months. Full tank at all times though.

I inflate to about 38, and use flat spot prevention cribs. They retain the round shape of the tire.

Exhaust gets stuffed with new cotton towels (that I will end up using to clean the exhaust next summer), and i stuff the intake as well - or in the deep cold will disconnect the air box and rubber band the one end.

Will be using an Indoor car cover as well.

Come spring-summer I do a rinse and quick detail spray.
