pretty sure that is only for the first one, but if not...that serial number could go up to 99,999
You really don't know much about this car, do you? It's limited to around 2500 this year and they are all numbered as above.

Where did you see that? I have heard rumors, seen alot of stuff, seen where dealers have flat out lied about the numbers etc. but nothing concrete.Have also seen where it will be made for 1 year only up to 3 years. How many will they make those years as well? It is a car. Nothing more.

These last two weeks with the 1.5T have been Heaven. The Type R would be 5x this.

We've not received concrete numbers, that is true, and we won't, but considering dealers are getting between 1-3 for the year and there's around 1100 dealerships it's pretty easy to see how the math lines up with the speculation/rumors. All two dealerships :D within a 100 mile radius of here are getting 1 car this year. One at 10k markup, the other at 6.

There was another post in this sub-forum from someone who seemed very well connected. Speculation is suggesting 6000 for 2017/18 total with next years mix being accounted for by two trims - base and touring.

Edit: this is probably where the conversation gets interesting http://www.civicx.com/threads/any-sense-of-how-many-ctrs-each-dealer-will-get.9696/page-4 there are other threads all over the place.

If you have money down and a purchase order , with signatures it's a lawsuit ! I'm about 90% sure
Unfortunately no contract just deposit... Otherwise I would pursue,

Unlike the Mugen Si where Honda made it clear they were only going to make 1,000 of them, there is no indication that Type R production will be artificially limited. To Honda, it's just another $35,000 car. It only makes sense that they'll build enough for everyone that wants one soon enough unless demand exceeds production capacity at the Swindon plant, which I doubt is the case. That's just my semi-educated guess. :)

That's where I was going with this. Honda is a company. If consumers want to throw money at a company, they would be dumb not to take it.

Like I said in my previous posts welcome to North Carolina. This is one crooked state and full of nasty back stabbing people. The car dealers here are the worst. Nothing but lies and back room deals and screwing customers over.

And to top it all off, it's ILLEGAL to use a radar detector! Or is that West Virginia...
I believe VA and DC are the only two places where radar detectors are illegal to use. The Escort Redline I have has an effective cloaking system rendering it virtually invisible to radar detector detectors like the Spectre (not that I'm advising that you use it in VA or DC ;) ). Just an FYI, the Redline just got discontinued, so now it's a "while supplies last" thing.

Pretty freakin impressive...

Correct, VA and DC. I have an Escort MAX 360. Just hope they push an update to reject the false signals from Blind spot monitors and the like. But some of those signals are right in the police radar bands. Easiest thing is to not speed, but it is very, very tough for me.

Judging by OP's post, I could go over to my usual dealer and have them save a CTR in any color for me because the director of sales there is best friends with my family & we have given him countless business over the last 10 years.

But since I'm not buying a CTR, oh well.

But honestly, I wouldn't put down a deposit without signing a contract. The CTR market is a shit-scene right now and I'm glad I'm not interested in the CTR enough to be involved in this mess.
