yea true but giving back a core sucks
Wait why does giving a core back suck? Doesn’t that just reduce the cost for you if you decide to do it?

It's still $1550 for this turbo regardless. Basically they said they will send you a turbo with their upgraded wheels and charge a core fee on top of that like another $700-800 and return that money once you send you oem stock turbo to them.

Ohhhh that does suck, I thought it was 1550 for the turbo total with the core fee and then 800 back for the oem. 27won for the win then.

Damn lol I just assumed it would be cheaper than the w1 since you could send back a core. I was soooo excited for my incorrect price of 750 :(

If u think about it good, get the 27w1, u would get to keep ur stock turbo incase u need to return the car back to stock or u can just sell the stock turbo.

I think it's important to also point out that the 27WON W1 is not just about power (which is oddly similar), but also the "from scratch design". This negates the concern about a core, which you guys already pointed out, but also the fact that since we did design from scratch we were able to utilize a larger CHRA with larger bearings, seals and greater cooling capacity. A re-manufactured OE turbo (from my knowledge) will not provide you with the larger CHRA and thus you are stuck using OE size and quality bearings.
Our goal was not just power, but long-term reliability as well.
The turbocharger that validated our testing is still currently in-use after 50+ dyno pulls, a handful of record setting 1/4 mile runs, and pushing 25K miles of road and track use.
