Interesting. I replied to your message about that code with this answer a few weeks ago.
Yea I remember actually. All fuel trims and AFR have been looking good. I mean the car is still running fine. I clear the code when it pops up like 1 hour drive. WOT is fine too. but I know it's gonna give out completely soon enough.

Anyways thanks for your help and insight

Update:
Honda Civic 10th gen Public Service Announcement: Si Fuel Injectors IMG_5409

Car is running now. Fuel trims are quite lean, probably bc the ecu/pcm has been fighting these f’d up injectors. i’d reflash but i forgot which tune i’m on.

Dealer quoted me around 800 for just the part. Anyone else got prices like that?

MSRP is $601. Anything above is an overcharge from the dealer.

Injectors are still on backer online but can be requested via CBO through any Dealer.

EDIT: Getting word that online dealers will soon be stocking the injectors. You can try Jim White Honda or Honda Parts Guys to see if they’re willing to fulfill.

A heads up to fellow Si owners that the DI fuel injectors are on nationwide backorder. Long story short, Honda discontinued the part and is updating with a revised injector, due to high failure rates. The revised part has been on nationwide backorder for about a month.

If you encounter a misfire or cylinder rich condition, be advised that your only option is to wait things out, scour the junkyard, or source a reman unit (if you can find one). I’ll update this thread once my own order has been fulfilled.

Carry on…

EDIT: Received feedback that the head gasket may also be on backorder. If anyone is able to fulfill an order on either part, post here and I'll update the OP.

EDIT 2: The revised injector has been released and is slowly making its way back into circulation. For now, this is a dealer-only item with a 4-8 week wait time.
Good thing I have my originals still not getting rid of those

Small update, ordered my kit 3 weeks ago, stopped by dealer yesterday, said a batch is getting shipped out on the 10th. Anyone have the part number for the gaskets that need to be replaced while doing this job?

how the f is a head gasket on national backorder? such a simple thing to manufacture.

also how do you know if the injectors are faulty? my oil always has a slight gas smell to it but afaik that's normal for these engines.

Yeah especially if you live in cold climate and do lots of short trips. The problem with being so efficient, it takes forever warm up, so you get a lot more blow-by, I.E. oil dilution. Honda has an ecu update that’s intended to warm your car up faster for people in colder climates to prevent as much blowby.

on a separate note, the honda dealership by me has the new injectors in stock. Bit over 700! Have to buy them with the pipe kit. Or you can buy the pipe kit by itself but not the injectors…

I had the same issue with the dealer telling me they were on back order, but I never received a call. Ended up getting corporate involved and they told me they were a stocked item and have had them since the day I purchased them (12/11/23). Going to pick them up tomorrow and was curious if you could post a picture of your kit with the part number so I can make sure I'm getting the new revised ones instead of the old shitty ones.

Also how is there not a warranty extension on this?? I had such a high standard for Hondas, but after this I'm pretty disappointed in them all together
