Looks pretty good but...

I sort of wish they would have done a more traditional hatchback versus this fastback look. Something like the Forte5 or new Cruze for example:

Overall, I think the sedan is the best design of the three Civics.
Those 2 vehicles look like their price point and demographic. The Civic is for a completely different type of person. Remember the Honda Civic is going after the Audi a3 and 3 series people trying to save money but keep the class they want.

Some Honda nuts may have liked the Crosstour (Honda could put an H on a turd and some would like it), but the fact that this hatch looks like one is NOT a good thing. Honda sold very few of the Crosstour, and it had everything to do with it's looks.

This.
Honda sold a decent amount the first couple of years in production at the end it was brutal how few they sold but they never changed it I think they should have changed just to try it out

Actually, I am returning a leased 2012 Audi A4 for the a LX.
Yes, I want it to save some money and still have a decent car and felt in love with the Civic.
The Civic's insurance is actually $40/month more compare to the Jetta and Mazda3 which I was considering.
At the end, I still picked the Civic!

What's patentable in those images? ???
IIRC, a lot of car companies will patent the overall design as a whole. So much so that you can find poster sized prints of patent images of whole car designs. I think "inked and screened" does some good ones, I see them on massdrop all the time.
