I have noted down the temperatures readings before and after installation of PRL SRI

Honda Civic 10th gen PRL SRI vs Stock Air box 1623052327025

It shows that on average PRL SRI keeps 2 to 3'C temperatures lower than stock air.
what I observed is that Stock Air Box soaks heat where as the SRI does NOT.
on IDLE, with SRI, the temperatures shoots quickly but drops as the car starts moving.

It would have been more interesting to see the heat soak difference between the two at idle, to be honest.

I think comparing at Idle dont bring any outcome.

but yes, one thing is for sure, SRI drops temperature more quickly after moving the car from idle.

so basically, the SRI is just as good as the stock, in terms of risk of heat soak?

Thanks for sharing this. It would be interesting to see how effective an open filter in crowded inner city drive. A stop and go comparison would be interesting to see. At 33 celcius, my MAF intake temperature would reach 70 celcius in a heavy stop and go traffic. Yes, traffic in my city is terrible. :)
