Keeping it quiet huh... Forged internals from the fit to the new civic isn’t a bad idea... just like S2k rotor and itr brembos plug and play.

From the fit? Honda Fit had forged internals? Or was that a typo?

They list it as L15B instead of L15B7 because it also fit the L15B5 found in Honda Fit. FYI, 1.5t is Honda Fit on steroid lol. I’m not sure about the piston but the rods already existed before 1.5t came out. Same part number from fit to 1.5t.

Not the same part number from the Fit to the SI though. I wonder if the overall fitment is the same.

Rods and pistons are a good start. But if I'm tearing into my engine I might as well do everything I can do. What upgrades do we have for the other parts, valves, valve springs, ect. What do the PRL Pistons come with? Same for rods? Do they ship with the rings for the potions. And bolts with the rods.

1.5 built motors are nothing new. The Fit or "Jazz" is a very popular car in other countries. I'll try to find some old photos I took at a drag race event in Thailand, where the turbo is bigger than the motor. lol

I wish. Still learning the terms. I work in IT and the 10th gen platform was the first car I cared to know things about. First turbo car, first manual transmission. First time I ever did my own oil change :rofl:

That being said the short block kit is probably what I'll go for. My original plan was to snag a spare engine off ebay and build the internals into the spare. The idea being that if something went wrong, well still have the factory motor.

I'm still a bit unclear on what the 0.5 mm larger bore size and lower compression does. Is anyone familiar with this?
