That happens to mine a bit as well. the knock count will trigger. Knock control stays the same. Stock turbo, fx350 clutch. It happens randomly, but usually between shifts, 1-2 more likely. Idling in traffic as well.
If I turn off the whole VSA by doing the steps it lets me rip from 1st to 2nd. but what a hassle lol

Ososik partnered with Hondata on a PRL Big turbo kit upgrade kit on one of Ososik Media si's. Its great news for the Hondata community as they will soon be able to run our turbo upgrade kit as well for the FK7 1.5t platform.

For everybody wondering what the GTX2860R GEN2 was capable of with our 10th Gen Civic 1.5T Big Turbo Kit, we managed to put down 403 horsepower and 420 ft/lb torque today. We're still on the small .64 A/R turbine housing, stock ECU with @KTuner and MS100 race gas. Who's excited to see how much further we can push things with the .86 A/R larger turbine housing?! Keep in mind that this is one of the smallest turbochargers compatible with our kit. This same setup made 340ish horsepower last week on 93 octane pump gas for the record.

We are excited to announce @Hondata's release of compatibility and their calibration for our big turbo kit for the 1.5T Honda Civic! Big shout out to @Ososik Media for working with Hondata to keep pushing this platform further!

Also, we've received quite a few inquiries about including/using reflective gold heat-tape on the aluminum turbocharger crossover inlet pipe supplied in our turbo kit. Please note that this is not necessary, our inlet pipes are true ceramic-coated. :)

I just watched @ttorres1183 video on YouTube of the install and I have to say I'm super impressed with the quality of the kit. (Also that video is a game changer for anyone wanting to install the kit) I was curious as to why you decided to go full silicon piping for intercooler piping vs going aluminum. I figured there had to be a reason for it. Keep up the great work!!!

We're glad to hear this! We spent quite a bit of time and R&D on this kit to make sure everything fits and performs well, so it's always nice to hear that these efforts have seemed to pay off. :) You may notice that the hot-side charge pipe routing is very tight and oddly shaped. Custom silicone hose allowed us to offer proper fitment and flexibility. Also, the thermal heat properties of silicone are pretty favorable for charge piping.

Hi @PRL Motorsports, just following up to see if there has been any progress towards retrofitting the kit for making use of the stock electronic wastegate actuator. Thanks!

I second this. I remember reading somewhere and seeing accompanying photos showing that their new silicone to accommodate the EWG kit worked perfectly, and that they were just waiting on the production models to be made.

Also, I may be the odd man out here, but I'm interested in running this kit with a high flow cat. The "Street" downpipe would give me this option, correct?
I only ask because I've never seen photos of a PRL kit with a HFC downpipe.

@PRL Motorsports what up? What's the word on the EWG adaptation?

I run the catted version, which is the street downpipe. No issues that I can tell but I don't have anything to compare it against.

That is correct. We have a few customers out there running our catted downpipe, but only about 5% of our turbo kit customers chose this option.

There's still no real news yet. We have 2 of 5 prototype kits confirmed and working as of right now. However, we want to make sure all 5 kits are functioning 100% perfectly as intended before releasing to the market. The other 3 prototype kit users just need to send us over the "OK," which hopefully will be soon!
