How safe are the rods ?

Do you envision eventually showing dyno figures for each of the turbo options? In particular, I'd really love to see the advantages of going with the billet wheel GTX2860R, over the cast GT2860RS in terms of the actual delta in the curves.
Lot's of awesome stuff.
Their turbo kits will come with a DP so the test subject had their dp/fp combo during the dyno testingQuestion. I see the test subject’s (2017 Civic SI) showing as having a front-pipe.
The information contained with graphs indicate that it was a catless dp and front-pipe combo.
Which is it?
I am interested in the setup, but would like to keep my cats for inspection.
In your final kit breakdown you mention only the front pipe yet again.
Is the downpipe an additional charge or will the kit come combo?
It seems like a double edged sword on that one. They're not using our existing cores... so that ~1700 is with you still keeping your turbos. I'd think it'd be closer to ~1k if one were to be taking the stock turbo and opening it up and changing out the CHRA, as was the Vit drop-in's intention that died on the vine. I think it was supposed to be in the $1k realm, once you turned in your stock turbo for the core. I'm not sure what you can sell a used stock turbo for... but I assume it could be sold for a but to help offset the cost.Man I hope this kit comes in at a good price, come with all the bolt on's I'm already gonna get too!
$1,734.46 for 27WON's bolt in turbo seems pretty high. I've had custom turbos & ram horn manifolds made for cheaper? Had tons of custom oil lines made same day as well.
Have I been out of the turbo game that long? I get the off the shelf gig but wow.....
Keep in mind that you're quoting the price of the 27WON turbo with tax. To be fair, doing that universally would put the price of the PRL base turbo option at roughly $2,700, not $2,500. Not making a statement on either turbo's pricing or value -- you should always look at the pricing pre-tax though.Man I hope this kit comes in at a good price, come with all the bolt on's I'm already gonna get too!

Totally agree and I actually planned to spend $1000-1200 today to pre-order from 27WON but that's too much.It seems like a double edged sword on that one. It's great there are options out there now, though.
Both are different with advantages and disadvantages but impressive nonetheless. That we're talking up 200+ hp/liter on a stock motor is amazing to me.
I'll admit I've been wondering if PRL was using the factory fueling setup here. I know that is something they've been looking at.Good lord. I thought the CTR was fuel limited around 400 whp. Funny if they have roughly the same capacity for power based on their fuel systems... despite the Si and other trims getting the tiny engine with a tiny turbo and the CTR getting the best the K-series has to offer in FI. From a peak numbers perspective... it looks like the difference between a vanilla Civic with this turbo and tune and tuned CTR may be nil until the CTR can find some more fuel.
this shows why you're leading the way!! PRL FTW!!400 horsepower anyone?! Oh, and the pre-order is now up and active HERE!
This right here just shows why y'all are leading the way!!! PRL FTW!!!
We finally got the chance to test out the GTX2867R GEN2 with "small" .64 A/R turbine housing and made numerous 390-398 whp and 370+ ft/lb tq hits! This little 1.5L engine is proving to be very stout thus far! We have a few more tricks up our sleeves to see if we can break the 400 whp barrier with this setup on Monday! New power record anyone?!
Here are some comparisons of the GT2860RS vs the GTX2867R GEN2. In our opinion, the GTX2860R GEN2 (that we didn't get to test) with the .64 A/R housing will be the best bang-for-the-buck setup for stock engine setups!
