We've kept this under wraps long enough; our upgraded charge pipe kit for the FK8 Civic Type-R is in the final stages of development. This kit will fit all stock location intercoolers. Pricing and ETA will be released shortly, stay tuned for more info!

Upgraded charge pipe kit will feature larger diameter piping on both hot and cold side charge pipes. The intercooler outlet will be cast, standard 4-ply silicone will be used, as well as upgraded piping with integrated bung.

It will be a full charge piping kit to and from the turbocharger assembly.

Our upgraded charge pipe kit will utilize smooth flowing, 26% larger inner diameter cold-side for increased airflow and factory diameter hot-side outlet to aid in turbocharger spool. 4-ply silicone couplers are used throughout our design for a couple of reasons:

1. Heat-soak reduction: Silicone hose offers extremely low thermal heat transfer properties, especially in comparison to steel or aluminum.
2. Strength and rigidity: The rubber hoses used from the factory are known to experience expansion, which worsens as boost is increased. In time, the rubber construct weakens, causing increased likeliness of a boost leak. Also, we have managed to melt the factory rubber hose a handful of times during our track adventures on our shop car. Our high-temp, 4-ply silicone with handle the high temperatures of the turbocharger much better than the factory rubber hose(s).
3. Smooth airflow: Custom molded silicone allows us to offer much higher flowing bends than we could with metal tubing.
4. Optimal fitment: We have found that the factory rubbers hoses don't offer the most desirable fitment, especially when paired with an aftermarket radiator. Our silicone hose(s) offer even better fitment than factory.

*Minor trimming may be required to radiator/fan shroud IF using an aftermarket radiator.


Kit Will Includes:

• Cast Aluminum Intercooler Outlet Piece
• (1) Aluminum Charge Pipe, powdercoated wrinkle-black w/ vacuum port(s)
• (1) Methanol Injection bung
• (3) 4-ply silicone couplers
• 304 Stainless Steel Lined clamps
• All hardware needed for install

Kit will be applicable with all factory-replacement intercoolers, but we recommend pairing with PRL Motorsports intercooler for best results for utilizing the 26% increased internal flow of this piping kit!

Ordered mine last weekend and can't wait. I was waiting for this back when you were still developing your intake, and although I intended to wait for both, I ended up picking up the Mishimoto intake. Well now I'm sort of wishing I waited for both. lol. Do you think I'll experience clearance issues with the MIshi box and the charge pipes? I'm thinking about selling the Mishi and picking up your intake instead. The mishi simply looks closer to stock (CA inspection) and I'm not a fan of the raised PRL logo on the back of the box. (the logo on the tube is fine)

But I digress! Can't wait for these charge pipes to go with my PRL intercooler.

Installed the 3D metal printed unit I’ve had for a few months due to turbo titanium inlet pipe kit and Hi Volume intake kit all done same time.

What did you guys use to replace this stud on the charge pipe? My kit only came with two little screws for the mounting bracket that goes on the other little metal elbow
