Will it work with rv6s dp?
the PRL kits will only work with the down pipe they are supplying with the kit. You should be able to sell you RV6 and get some money back for it

If your going to run this turbo kit it has to be pretty much PRL everything. If you want to run the full RV6 3” dp and fp then go with 27Won drop in turbo

Are there any disadvantages to this kit's use of a non-electronic wastegate?

Electronic control of the wastegate allows you to target different boost levels throughout the RPM range, boost by gear, etc. My understanding is that you lose all of that with a manual setup.

PRL is already working on an electronic option but it will likely come after the initial release.

Nope they just went back to the old ways for manual boost control for now. They might change it up later

Wouldn't a boost controller help that

From personal experience of using a MBC and 3 port EBCS on both a 2002 WRX and a 2011 EVOX...

MBC
+builds boost faster
-prone to spiking

EBCS
-builds boost slower
+not prone to spiking

But.... the electronic wastegate control seems like it is a better option even compared to an EBCS. In any case, the tuner should have other methods available for identifying and correcting an overboost condition.

It probably would but I think PRL will come up with something to compensate it.
Just looked back, they have boost controller listed as an option when you buy the kit!

Probably change the way ktuner tunes the car then right in their programming since now you can manually up and lower boost
