OK, so first, I'm not a master mechanic but I know what a screw driver is, and I (think) can follow directions. That said.......

I'm in the last stages of install, and this thing does NOT fit. The first picture here is from the instructions.

Honda Civic 10th gen PRL HVI CAI - HELP!!!!!!!! 1602875112193

Notice the "large" vertical hose is lower than the "small" vertical hose. Notice how the hoses coming off the top are able to tuck under the engine cover. Now look at mine:

Honda Civic 10th gen PRL HVI CAI - HELP!!!!!!!! 1602875187920

Honda Civic 10th gen PRL HVI CAI - HELP!!!!!!!! 1602875230546
Honda Civic 10th gen PRL HVI CAI - HELP!!!!!!!! 1602875351425

Notice the LARGE hose is higher than the SMALL HOSE. The whole unit is still loose so it can move any way it wants, but I think it is in the correct orientation. The small hose into the inlet is a HARD pipe, so it can only move so far. I'll accept any negative feedback if I screwed something up - but I don't I did.

PLEASE, any thoughts?

It looks like the part of the coupling where you insert the Evap hoses is double the length it should be? compared to the instructions / mine...

Honda Civic 10th gen PRL HVI CAI - HELP!!!!!!!! 1602875742561

Compare that to the instructions - Shouldbe about half that height?

That is exactly what I thought too......... but this should be standard part I think. If I cut about 3/4 inch off, that would help for sure. BUT even that would not make it look like the instructions I think.

just a note that the instructions are using the elbow that comes with the PRL Turbo Inlet Pipe and NOT the one that comes with the HVI. these are two different parts so they may not look exactly the same.

OK, didn't know that. Thank you. BUT, this thing still sticks up so high. Does not seem like that would be the final install. AND not sure I would be able to close the lid!

a lot of people ran into that issue. what you can do is rotate the elbow towards the back of the car (away from you when you're in front) to have the vac tube sit lower
This is what PRL is telling me as well. But the port / flange still sit so high, it crimps the hoses. PRL suggests shortening the hoses. This part just seems wrong to me.

Ah damn I just recently bought their intake too lol

I think that will be too high as well. BUT, if you install and all works, please send pics and tell me what I may have done wrong!

If you look at the stock install, you can see how low that flange is to the intake transition from the air box. The port is way to high.

Dunno if this helps. Not PRL, but this is how high the same fitting came on Eventuri’s hose, in case need to trim (at own risk) and want to know how low can go.

If have not done so already, recommend contacting PRL to see how much they advise to cut to make it all work.

Remember, you can always cut and leave long to see how it fits. Then cut more if needed.....If cut too much off the bat and become short, you’re screwed ;)

LOL, I wish it were that short! PRL has been in contact and they are sending me a new part. Hopefully, this one will look like yours, or the instructions! I don't want to cut it and now I can't as they want me to send this one back.

ALL - again, thanks SO much for the fast inputs!!!

I cut mine down by an inch. Fits so much better. Don't need to rotate the EVAP flange. Installs just like OEM with no hood rubbing. No issues.

I really, really don't understood why PRL makes the "ports" so long.
