Apologies if this belongs in the engine/tuning/exhaust forum. I put it here since my topic is specifically for the Si. Mods, I can move/post it there if needed.
I'm aware not all the data is out yet in terms of gains and drivability when comparing these two (PRL has plenty of data, whereas 27won is still entering the market with their cai), but I wanted to open a discussion based on your experiences with either brand based on their support and expectations based on their previous hardware. I'm choosing between these two brands right now and I'm sure I won't be disappointed either way, but I'd prefer to only make this decision once haha. Some of my thoughts are as follows:

- Carb compliance matters to me since I'm in California, but it won't prevent me from purchasing either of them. For now, 27won has the advantage as they're already considering it, but PRL has stated they don't currently have the resources to dedicate to this initiative just yet. I'm also aware that compliance for this is still quite a ways out.
- For installation and serviceability, 27won can be installed from the top and having the filter up top also means servicing it should be simple. That being said, PRL has stated that you don't need to jack up the car to install the intake, but it does make it easier (every tutorial i've seen shows them jacking it up).
- Gains. This is probably the most unknown when comparing these two specifically, because I know most tests have shown PRL to stand at the top. I know an intake by itself isn't going to be a good measure of the actual gains or capability of the car without a tune and other mods, but if we were to simply isolate intake vs intake, PRL seems to demonstrate the most gains as per their provided data and Hondata's most recent test. Do we have any info where 27won fits here? I know the blog states 3-5hp, and ultimately we'll have to wait till people install it this month.
- Hydrolock. A pretty contentious topic. 27won is supposed to have the advantage here, but no one has reported any issues with PRL either. California gets its share of rain along with our crappy roads, so this is something I've kept in the back of my head.
- As for sound, it's not an important criteria for me, but lots of folks will want to know what the sound is like in comparison to one another. The PRL should be measurably louder, and I think even Vincent stated 27won will be a bit quieter because of the filter housing.
