PRL big turbo: Turbo Blanket vs heat shield

Not sure if it’s even a viable option to get done but is ceramic coating any better? Rv6 is supposed to have that as an option on their new turbo

i have both my downpipe and front pipe cerakoted. cost about $150 at a local powder coating shop and took a week to cure. as far as if it's worthwhile.. i hope so.

Hey everyone. Trying to figure out if i should use a turbo blanket option for the Garret turbo, or keep the heat shield that PRL provides with the kit. I dont think the heat shield will fit if the turbo blanket is installed, and so i'm wondering if anyone has done this already or has an opinion on the matter.

I spoke to PRL and they said you could use the turbo blanket, but they do not advise it due to these cars already having heat soak issues. They said the heat shield is more than enough. If anything... cerakote the heat shield. I think that’s what I will be doing.
