Black Book Value on 2020 ...2020 boys letās goā¦ I figured the market would get a little crazy, but it makes sense for the MY20-21 to be more desirable to some people. Then throw in limited production due to Covidā¦
I owned an AP1 S2000 for some time, and I was always struck by how inflated AP2 prices were compared to the AP1 - the AP2 was a better cruising car, and fun to drive, but the 9k redline in the AP1 was always my favorite thing. Anyway, that minor Honda refresh to the AP2 made people go bonkers. I think the refresh to the FK8 is doing the same - the little tweaks to the suspension and driver quality updates like LKA are very nice. I think itās having a huge impact on the market, but thatās just my opinion.2020 boys letās goā¦ I figured the market would get a little crazy, but it makes sense for the MY20-21 to be more desirable to some people. I'm in Colorado. And I'm a girl. He's in california where they will pay 900k for a used Fiat with four missing wheels and no engine.
I donāt buy cars as investments, nor do I think anyone in this thread purchased this car as an investment - with that said, Iām one of the few that considered buying a brand new S2000 CR because the dealers couldnāt give them away. They languished on car lots and were selling at a discount. Adjusted for inflation, the AP1 was $50,000, and not in the same class as the Type R; underneath everything the Type R is still a civic.Just enjoy driving the car you have instead of thinking it as an investment. Even for the rare AP2 S2000, with an original $37300 MSRP, fetching $50000 or $60000 today after 13 years pales in comparison to simply compounding that money at 8% per year. I doubt the FK8 will do better than the AP2 after 13 years. Drive it or sell now is my best advice.
Carvana offered me 54K, Iām definitely tempted to take it!
This is what Vroom offered me on my CTR LE, 2990 miles. Not looking to sell it but was curious what they'd offer anyway. I bought it for $49,750 brand new.
