You are where I am aiming to be with my build. My whole garage is lined with parts because I am waiting for a few more parts before the front end comes off(see my build profile). I also have the RZ manifold, just a different version of it. I think they are all coming out of a factory in Malasia. I actually got it to dress up the engine and get the ugly plastic one out of the way. I heard horror stories about the Skunk2 install so I found a version of the RX on ebay. I think I am going to get mine protuned before and after I put it on. I am trying to get it powdercoated or anodized blue, but I now I am interested in the thermal coating you are talking about. Can you link the specialists you are going through?

Also, Did yours come with a gasket? Mine came with an advertised thermal gasket, but i think it is just a PFTE/Teflon sheet. Not sure about its boost holding cababilities. I was considering getting it grooved for the stock o'rings.

Looks like an awesome build! I had the manifold thermal dispersant coated by Socalporting.com they ported a few manifolds for my Evo X almost 10 yrs ago and came back to them to handle a few things again. Very pleased with their work long ago and now. The Gasket is fine that comes with the manifold, I went by oe specs for tightening and no issues here..

I was going for the sleeper look and think it turned out perfectly. Manifold was actually pretty easy, in my opinion. Good luck on the build, looks like an awesome build in the making.

Love the wheels! Did those clear the 27Won BBK w/o spacers?

I was undecided on split-5 spokes or just plain 5 spokes for my new wheels but went with the latter. Yours look great!!

Thank you, they did clear the 27Won brakes easily. Mine are +38 offset FYI.

Been bad about keeping up with the build. I did swap turbos with a 27Won W1, put in a PRL Flex Fuel Kit during the same time and had it E-tuned by Phearable. Swapped out the TEIN H-techs for Swift springs along with Bilstein B6 fronts and TEIN Endurapro rears. Also got a PRL Turbo Inlet Pipe and had Rampage Fab with their magic on the titanium pipe. Some other minor things like pulling off the tow hitch and covering the center with the Euro/UK Civic Sport cover, deleted rear wiper with a KillAllWipers plug, VCD valve over, EBC Yellow pads front and rear, Revesol carbon steering wheel, Seibon carbon Hood, TSP ARP head studs, ETL CVT cooler using a Hayden 697 cooler, and swapped out the Type R and Beatrush subframe bracing with a Cusco power brace.

Have a Bride Euroster II seat ordered and a few other things I'll update when once complete.

I might have driven the car on stock springs and shocks under 100 miles before putting the TEIN H-techs on, but that felt pretty stock to me. The upgrade to Swift springs was simultaneous with the Bilstein B6 struts and TEIN shocks, and the ride is much stiffer but it still rides very nice. I've gotten used to it so can't even tell, but a friend rode in it for the first time the other day and complimented the ride saying he could tell its a little stiffer but barely could tell it was modified and it rode really nice.

One note with the Swift springs is that I had coil bind on them at first and it was really noisy, until I put a bunch of TEIN spring silencers on each spring front and rear.

How did the CVT cooler install go? I'm thinking about getting one but don't know if I have the skills/tools to do it all myself.

The install wasn't bad, the hardest parts were just finding a place to mount the cooler properly and squeezing in the sandwich plate between the charge Pipe and OE CVT warmer. But I've done all the work on my car thus far and am fairly mechanically inclined, so YMMV.

I just saw this and you have an FK7 with a, exhaust cut out. Was there any gains?

Thanks in advance,
G

Not sure if they're were any gains, but when the cutout is open under full throttle & boost the car does feel a little more powerful. Unfortunately, can't dyno this CVT without paddles, so my feel is pretty objective.

Just got my Bride Euroster II seat in today, much earlier than originally expected. Had a Bride MO seat rail/bracket waiting for it and soldered in a 2.2ohm Bride resistor in for the SRS. All of it was fairly smooth except for ripping out the harness attached to the OE seat to transfer the seat position sensor to the new seat.

After my W1 failure last week, tore the car down for a new turbo and Si parts.

Got my Vargas GC Turbo yesterday and installed it in a few hrs, but was in a rush and didn't take any pictures. In addition, over the past weekend installed Si Intake cam and tried upgrading to a Si HPFP, larger feed line, and drilled hard line. Got the car running, but had a really strange buzzing. Drove over 100 miles with a new Phearable starter map and fuel trims looked good, but the buzzing was bugging the crap out of me. Might be because I got a 2nd hand HPFP.

Just swapped everything back to the OE non-Si HPFP and fuel lines and the buzzing is gone. Interesting fact, the non-si hard line opening is much larger than the Si hardine at the fuel rail even with me drilling the Si hard line to 1/16".

Just need to empty out this E27 fuel tank and start with the E-tune logs with 91 octane E10 over the weekend. Wish I was better at photographing my progress, but I can answer any questions if you have any.
