"Were"...you're welcome.
And your point is??
Yes, i have malapropism sometimes. Thanks for pointing that out. My point is you were being kind of a hypocrite. 2 people posted their cars and even noted ‘dropped on x’, you liked them, said nothing. But when someone has the audacity to post oem wheels on their civic you go batshit crazy and attack them.
calm down, people like to share. I come back after a month or so and i see you going nuclear on other members but adding nothing yourself. Maybe go back and edit or delete some of your posts so you dont come off as a try hard keyboard commando.

No rubbing at all. I weigh about 135.
No tab modifications, fender rolling, or shaving.

Never had any issues with these specs? Love the look. And did you notice any negative effects to drive quality/handling?
Cheers!

Finally got a chance to put my new rims on.

Current setup:
Japan Racing JR29
R18x8.5 et+35 Magic Purple color
Conti PremiumContact 235/40

Actually it's very hard to make a photo, that can represent a real feel of this color. It goes from purple to aquamarine, idk.

But the key feature, that this green highlight appears exact from the same angle of view as sonic grey has its green feel.

Hey everyone.
Just looking for quick Clarification.
I've been reading through threads and checking tire size, offset calculations, and I feel like the more I look the more unsure I am.
I'm looking into a set of superspeed rf05 18×8.5 +35 and I'm wanting to go 255/40
My buddy says to go 255/35

I'm stock height HFP Suspension no plans to lower.

Will the 255/40 cause any issues? I'm ok with the speedo being off.

Thank you in advance and i apologize if this question has been asked I'm just feeling a bit more lost now even after all the searching.

Note.
Roads are rough here year round.
I'm ok with higher ride.
255/40 on 18×8.5 +35 good to go?
Zestino tires.

Cheers!

Wheel 18x8.5 +35 is dead flush with fender.
Tyre 255/40 will poke 3/4” out from the fender.
Tyre 255/40 is 3/4” radius bigger than oem size.
Since is not lowered, the oem clearance bet. the tyre and fender is ~2” w/o load.
Minus 3/4”, you left ~1.2” clearance w/o load.
Depend on the load, if 4 pax, likely will rub on the fender.
If 1pax, might rub if the spring is compressed hard.
In addition, you mentioned the road are rough, this will compress the spring further.

If you want to run 255/40, get +50 offset or consider 245/40 +35 both on stock height.
