Hi guys, I am planning to buy some rims 18x 8.5 +35 offset, but not sure what tire to get. Heard the 235/40/18 is the perfect size, but has anyone ran 225/40/18 or 245/40/18? Rims and tires I want are Aodhan's AH02 with 500 firestone indy. The price diff between 235/40 vs 225/40 or 245/40 is $50 per tire ($200 total). Opinions?

245/40/18 is the default fitment for 18"x8.5" rims (for the Civic). And it has the largest tire selections, plus a slightly thicker sidewall for a more comfortable ride. Can't go wrong with that.

Both 235/40/18 or 245/40/18 will work on gen-10 Civics riding stock height with 8.5" rims. Go with whichever one is on sale/cheaper. Good luck.

Stock suspension.
18x8 +35 wheel
235 40 18 tire
I want to lower so bad but I'm waiting to make sure I don't have ac problems. I'm going to wait till I get closer to 36000 miles. Then putting coilovers or springs. I like coils so I'll probably do that.

There is a little bit of poke. Love this wheel design.

I like these wheels, would an 8" wide at +35 offset and a 235 width tire show now stretch and sit pretty flush, or would it move inside the wheel-well?

I think that set up will sit similar with the fenders like the stock SI wheels with no stretch in the tire. I think you may also get away with with an 8.5 width wheel with a 235 tire as well. I know there are some examples out there. I wanted more of a concavity look, so you get a little poke.

I'll have to see if an 8.5 wide is available.
(I now know what wheels I'm buying)
