1st post! I have a 2018 Civic Hatchback LX or Sport coming in Sonic Grey on order. (Dealer trying to locate one that is a manual)

Stock 18" wheels on the sport are almost 30lbs. Looking to get some high performance wheels for mpg (even 1), acceleration, and deceleration for under $1000. Will not be lowering until maybe next year. Questions:

  1. Anybody running 17's? These would be cheaper, and lighter. Not sure if they'll look funny, everybody rocking 18's here.
  2. Looking at the O.Z Alleggerita HLT's right now. Weight below 20lbs is what I'm looking for.
  3. Are wheels fragile when this light?
  4. Any budget and still performance friendly tires out there?
rpf1's are always a good option for inexpensive light wheels and come in just about any size you would ever want

Avid 1 has some good options and the 18's they have are about 22 lbs each.

I saw someone post the Avids, they look amazing. Looking for less weight.

Anybody rock 17s here without a drop? Would love to get OZ wheels that are 17in 15lbs

@kaivorth check out the Konig Flow formed wheels. They have 18x8s that are ~19-20 lbs. Thats what I'm considering.

I’m about to purchase these and put them on my stock tires with Eibach sportlines tell me what you think. What do y’all think about the color combo and will these lug nuts work?

TE37's 18x9.5 +22 front, 18x8.5 +22 rear. ( Anyone else made +22's work with a wider tire w/o huge amounts of modification?)

Stock height, no rubbing, installing Eibach pros next week and adding some camber to the front so hopefully I can fit 245/40's front and 235/40 rear tires.

Right now the tires are 215 front, 205 rear. It has way too much stretch for me, but its the way it had to be to fit on a 8th gen civic.

hope you guys never hit a curb or pothole with these tire/wheel setups. No cushion there at all. And the ride must be terrible.

The face of them is kinda matte, but the lip looks anodized. TE's have a weird texture up close.

Rota Slipstream 18x9.5 +35 on all corners. Lowered on Eibah Sportline springs. Running the oem sport tires 235/40R18. Has a mild stretch but no rubbing with me my fiancé and my Rottweiler in the back

Probably the best wheel size on this gen for sure! I did a lot of research trying to get the widest rim with out having to worry about rubbing.

-0.5 camber in the front and -1.9 in the rear. Was able to get the toe dialed in to 0.05 degrees. Very happy with the way it rides and handles. Great for a DD.

Do you have a side shot to see where these sit towards the outside of the fender?
