Doesn't mean that 245-width tires can't fit under every other Civic (and they do), as long as the profile and offset are managed properly.
never said it wouldnt fit, Lots of things "fit" You can put 22s on, you can run 305/60 if you want. Im just saying if they are changing the circumference of the wheel/tire combo the speedometer calibration will be off which will throw off your mpgs and stuff

You know this site -- shouldn't he?

https://tiresize.com/comparison/

If he can be sure 255s would fit, and he picks rims wide enough, he'd run 255/35-18 (as an 18" example) and be less than 2% off, which is within the usual recommendation.

For, say, 245s, I'd go 245/40-18.

Yeah, I use this site too https://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

Less than 3% is acceptable, anymore and you can throw off ABS and other things. I was just trying to keep him as close to stock as possible for 19s. Im at .2%, thats literally negligible but that is also based on the ext wheels. The sport/si have a slightly different stock circumference, they start at 235/40-18 +50 right?

Right, and 235/40-18 is within a percentage of the other trims' stock sizes, too. I ended up with 215/55-16 for my winter tires (which, on steel wheels, are going on the car today).

So I ended up ordering these, but now I'm having second thoughts...

Now I'm considering cancelling that order and getting these instead:

I do like the looks of the Konig's as well and their main benefit is the reduced weight. I'd save 5lbs per wheel with this setup and that's nothing to sneeze at. Kinda torn on what to do.

Did you end up buying these before? The KMC

Put on the Mad Max rims and tires today; I ordered them Monday morning and they arrived Tuesday. Hopefully it'll snow this weekend and make me feel like I have a telepathic connection with Mother Nature.

215/55-16 Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 on steel, mounted, balanced, and inflated to 33 PSI from Tire Rack. Lug nuts included.

Yup, it's snowing now (hey, I just realized I'm in Howard County now, too). We might not drive anywhere today, but at at least I'm a little more confident than I can avoid the knuckleheads with bald all-seasons sliding around. :p
