Hi,
I would like a new wheel setup but I can't decide between 8x18" ET40 or 8,5x18" ET35 with 235/40/R18 tires. I have the 2021 Civic Hatch Sport. I saw that You have almost the same size with 8x18" ET37 with 235/40/R18. (Only 3mm diff.) I also would like the Eibach Pro kit later.
I would like Your opinion about the daily drive with this setup You have. I guess no rubbing with this, but what if You have some package in the trunk or 4 people in the car? How much the wheels are poking out if You check it from the front or back? Any problem with rock throwing to the side? Thank you in advance!

18x8.5+35 wrap with 235/40R18 is dead flush and perfect fit with pro kit. I settled 18x8+37 is b’cos I love Advan Racing RGlll design but it does not have size of 18x8.5+35. No rubbing or whatsoever when 4 pax load on pro kit but the life of oem shock will be short lived ~3years. That’s said, you can consider SI spring, it has a slightly higher spring rate and also just slightly lower than oem (can’t recall how much lower).

Thanks for the info! How long do You have the Pro kit? Did You change the factory shocks yet?
Did You have any problems with the Pro kit? I'm reading about strange noises in the forum about them.

It was installed by Eibach authorized installer and have been driving for two years with oem factory shocks. No noise but I can feel that the oem shocks are now getting softer than before. Prior upgrade to pro kit, the factory shock have been working for 2 years. In total, 4 years on factory shocks till today. It is due to replace the shocks and service the entire suspension system to replace the shocks and tighten up all the bolts back to spec.

Just put on some new Enkei TFR’s. Stock suspension, 8.5x 18”+38. Michelin pilot sports-255/18/40’s. Rides like a dream

Definitely want to drop a bit lower, especially the rear, so plan on moving to coilovers.

you could switch to 245/40 instead of lowering more, the extra sidewall could achieve the fitment you're after
