Hi guys,
I read a post on FB civic group about a small dent near c pillar. Apparently as per his post Honda is issuing a recall for all civic Sedan owners irrespective of trim.

I will accept a coupe anyday if they plan on recalling

i've never noticed a dent on my c-pillar back when i had my sedan.

do other civicx sedan owners have a dent??

i can't imagine this being a widespread issue. would be crazy if it was.

I don't have it on my 2019 sedan SI too but as per the post he found them on multiple sedans in the dealer lot

Hmm I'm skeptical at the moment. How could they even fix this with a recall? Replace that whole painted body panel and try to blend it in with the rest? Seems like impossible work to do on an enormous amount of cars

That is a soft spot for sure. On my car, I need to be careful because if I push hard enough it will easily dent. Thin sheet metal, no doubt. But a recall for that? Highly doubtful.

If they issue a recall on that, why stop there. Let's get a recall on the crap paint, crap windshield and large panel gaps, too.

I just saw this on my car yesterday, not as bad, but enough to have me explain paintless dent repair to the wife.

I was just reading up on this and one dealer blamed it on car washing? I mean I know it’s a defect but maybe the high-pressure nozzle is enough to cause this? Maybe just something to be aware of.... I just looked at mine and there is slight buckling on the passenger side but you have to look close to see it. I did notice already how flimsy the hood is.

I recall a huge thread in which many owners reported dents in similar spots. So, apparently it's indeed a thing. The dents are purely cosmetic, and not any sort of safety issue. I can't imagine Honda issuing a mass recall. And I don't see how this could possibly be addressed via recall anyway (at least, not without outrageous expense to Honda).

One guy that reported it on his car made it appear that the back half of the car had shifted downward. He had video of his doors being misaligned. And, this was his second one. The first was replaced already. So, not sure how real that is. It's the Internet after all. I guess we wait to see if Honda says anything about it.
