Do you think the 2021 will be the 11th generation Civic?

Yeah with this pandemic and recent refresh, i'd be shocked if a new one came out by the end of 2021 at the earliest. The Civic still matches up to the competitors in terms of tech and drivetrain pretty damn well, only thing that is getting long in the tooth is the infotainment screen and interface if we're being honest. That, and the lack of LED headlights on every trim.

Except the 11th gen will begin 2022 MY so that was correct. Thanks for stopping by.
Actually it will be the model year 2022, which begins in 2021. According to CarAndDriver, a new 2022 model year Civic will debut in the Spring of 2021.

Late Spring is actually a 2021 MY, and was confirmed by Honda in a release to various media outlets. It will be brief and superceded by a 2022 MY in (likely) Fall 2021. It was actually slated to be released in October 2020, but was pushed back due to the global pandemic. It's possible it may get released as a 2022 model, but only if further delays push the model's release to June or beyond.

Most are speculating the Si, Hatch and CTR will return in 2022 as part of their typical five year cycle. However, also due to demand from the pandemic, the SI will not have a 5th/final year production run.

I have same information about release was delayed to Spring 2021, parts for building first units was sent last June, parts for Mass Producton will be sent as early as January 2021 and going through 2 more suppliers in supply chain to finally reach Honda factory.

With the "No Change" recommendation by the EPA to the Greenhouse Gas standards for Light Duty vehicles (MY '22-'25) it would be difficult to predict the release of a different set-up than what already exists.
Granted, the next Civic line will be slightly smaller in liter (perhaps a 1.4L) and be marginally more efficient.
Enjoy the 1.5L while it lasts.....
Engines for 11th Gen will remain the same as current 10th Gen, 2.0 NA and 1.5 TC.

I thought they were dropping the 2.0L or maybe that was speculation? I'd guess a slight HP bump in the 1.5T.

With a 2020 refresh I do not expect a new model in 2021. Time will tell.
They did a refresh on the CR-Z it's last year, so :dunno:
But with the pandemic it may get pushed back
